Storing cells at -80°C using Bambanker for 5 years

Non-liquid Nitrogen Cell Cryopreservation using Bambanker

We are running a long-term cryopreservation study using Bambanker and a standard -80°C freezer. We are analyzing the survival rate of adherent as well as in suspension cells and we can conclude that even after 5 years the surviva of all cell lines is very high: Besides OKT4 with 86 % cell survival, all cells show a survival rate of >95%. Have a look at the data yourself:

Therefore, liquid nitrogen does not have to be used when storing your cells in Bambanker.
