From the biotech lab to chocolate production! Planet A Foods shares valuable insights into how NIPPON Genetics' [Blue/Green LED technology](https://pages.nippongenetics.eu/blue/green-led-technology?hsLang=en) is driving more sustainable chocolate production.
The innovative LED technology (using the new [FastGene® FAS-X](https://www.nippongenetics.eu/en/products/gel-documentation/gel-documentation-systems/high-end/fastgene-fas-x/) gel documentation system) improves the accuracy of DNA analysis during the fermentation of chocolate alternatives without use of cocoa.
*The team at Planet A Foods wants to save 500 million tons of CO2/greenhouse gas equivalents every year by producing the world’s first 100% cocoa-free chocolate.*
By avoiding UV radiation, the Blue/Green LED technology preserves DNA integrity, reduces environmental impact, and improves product quality, marking a step towards greener chocolate.
